Team and permissions
Open Settings › Team. Only organization admins can open it.
The list shows each user’s Name, Email, Role, Type, Status (Active, Inactive or Invited) and when they were last active.
Invite a user
Section titled “Invite a user”- Click Add User.
- Fill in First name, Last name and Email.
- Pick a Role and a User type, and add their Permissions (pick one, click Add, repeat).
- Click Add user. They get an email invitation.
You can only add a user while your subscription has a free seat of that type. Otherwise you see “No available seats found in your subscription.” An email address can belong to one user only.
Role, type and permissions
Section titled “Role, type and permissions”Three settings decide what a user can do.
| Setting | Values |
|---|---|
| Role | Organization Admin or Customer Success Manager. |
| User type | Full User or View-only. Each type uses its own seats. |
| Permissions | View, Edit and Delete. |
A user can change something only when they are a Full User with the needed permission, and their role is allowed to do it. View-only users can look but not change.
What each role can open in Settings
Section titled “What each role can open in Settings”| Settings page | Organization Admin | Customer Success Manager |
|---|---|---|
| Company settings, Team, Support settings, Email settings, API keys, Company metrics, Health score, Data export | Yes | No |
| Customer types, Products, Tags, Data import | Yes | Yes |
| Notifications, Account settings (your own) | Yes | Yes |
The company pages also need the Edit permission. A page you can’t open is shown greyed out in the Settings menu.
In the Support tab, admins and customer success managers with Edit can reply, change, merge and create tickets.
Change or remove a user
Section titled “Change or remove a user”Click a user in the list:
- Edit user — change their name, role, type or permissions, then Save changes.
- Reset password — sends them a password reset email. If the email doesn’t arrive, the dialog offers a reset link you can pass on.
- Deactivate — takes away their access. Restore Access gives it back (if a seat is free).
- Delete user — removes the account. It is anonymised and its history is kept.
